Running over three days, the conference will be organised along three key lines:

Firstly, “How did we get here?, will look at the origins of government-issued identity and breeder documents; and what long-term issues have shaped the way we design and manufacture secure documents and associated identity architecture.

Secondly, “What does here look like?”, examines how standards and best practices have evolved; and what is currently shaping the latest thinking.

Finally “Where do we go from here?” will explore what the future holds, and what case studies demonstrate how and where innovation will enhance the integrity of document security and identity management.

“As SDW enters its second decade, it’s a fitting time to take a step back: examine how we arrived at where we are today; consider where we are going; and jointly assess what’s needed in the future to address challenges in government-issued identity” said Lockie in a joint statement with conference co-chair Matthew Finn, Managing Director of AUGMENTIQ.

“We are particularly keen to ensure the final day of conference provides a rich, in-depth look at future trends and a series of compelling case studies that illustrate the value innovation – both in terms of technology and thinking – can bring to deliver powerful improvements to the way we approach the design, manufacture and implementation of document security and identity management programmes all around the world.”
